Physics Class

Form IV students faced a tough challenge during their Physics class.

They were given a roll of masking tape, 30 plastic straws and 4 eggs to construct a device that allowed one egg to roll off a ramp and travel a certain distance without breaking; the difficult part was to leave 75% of the egg's shell uncovered!

They had to use the concepts learnt in class (energy transfer, centre of mass, frictional forces), but above all they had to think outside the box.

All houses came up with very creative ideas but Sparta was the winner with a staggering distance travelled by the device of 14.35 m.

Congratulations, Sparta!
